Biotechnology
Biotechnology is a multidisciplinary area merges biology with various modern technologies to develop innovative solutions for various real life problems in healthcare, agriculture, environmental science, and industrial sectors. It is the application of various technologies and principles of cellular and biomolecular processes to develop products that enhance human well-being. This field includes areas such as genetic engineering, bioinformatics, biopharmaceuticals, bioprocessing, and synthetic biology. There is continuous demand for trained professionals with relevant skill sets in this field. A four undergraduate programme is started in our college from 2024-2025 with approved intake of 60 under Anna University, Chennai. We have developed a comprehensive curriculum by blending various fields of biology with technology to address real-world challenges. Our curriculum is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in subjects like genetic engineering, molecular biology, bioprocess engineering, and bioinformatics. We established state-of-the-art laboratories and experienced faculty to guide our students for careers in diverse fields including healthcare, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, and environmental science. Graduates will be able contribute to the various fields as trained professionals in biotechnology. We welcome you join us.
